This deep purply charcoal was created to try and capture the mystery of that entrancing colour of faraway mountains. Our answer to try and capture this was to give it some red, some blue, there is some yellow to bring the sun into it – and all these primaries make grey – in this case in a variation that has more blue and red to try and capture earth and sky… Distant mountains.
